Provide free tax preparation and electronic filling of current and prior years of income tax returns. CRA Sanctioned and Registered.

Tax documentation drop-offs and interviews are by "By Appointment Only". Contact the Main Contact for an appointment. At a later date there will be notification to collect completed tax returns.

The Goderich Income Tax program will run for four (4) months; from February 2 to May 30, 2026.  During the months of Mar and Apr appointments for the Free Tax Clinics will be held on Tue and Thu, from 2 pm-5 pm at the MacKay Centre for Seniors.  Clinics will be closed during lunch hours and statutory holidays. 

The CVITP service is available to those with a modest income and simple tax return.
Current income guidelines are $ 40,000.00 for one person, $ 55,000.00 for two people, and $ 5,000.00 for each additional person in a family.
Volunteers do not prepare tax returns for complex situations such as:

• returns for deceased persons;
• individuals who file for bankruptcy;
• self-employed individuals;
• individuals who report capital gains or losses; or
• individuals who report employment expenses, or business or rental income and expenses.
