Description

Description (Service)

The Live-In Treatment Program (LIT) provides 24-hour care for youth who have complex mental health needs and require longer-term support in a safe, structured setting.

The program offers:

  • Seven treatment beds
  • Stays of up to one year
  • Individual therapy and support tailored to each youth's needs
  • On-site schooling through the Bluewater District School Board
  • Regular mental health support from psychiatrists and clinical staff

LIT helps youth work on:

  • Emotional regulation (understanding and managing feelings)
  • Building healthy relationships
  • Learning life skills for long-term stability and personal growth

The goal is to help each youth feel more confident, supported, and ready for life after treatment-whether at home, at school, or in the community.

The Step-Up Step-Down Program is a short-term, live-in treatment program for youth who need extra support after a crisis or before returning to home, school, or community life.

This program offers:

  • Six dedicated beds for youth ages 12 to 17
  • Up to six months of structured care
  • A mix of individual therapy, life skills development, and family involvement

The goal of the SUSD program is to help youth feel more stable, supported, and ready for the next step in their mental health and recovery journey.
