The Waste and Recycling Department oversees clear bags garbage collection, recycling, hazardous waste and five landfill sites within the City of Kawartha Lakes.

• Garbage Collection
• Every household in Kawartha Lakes receives curbside pick-up of garbage and recycling
• Two clear garbage bag limit per household with one 'shopping sized' bag for privacy is permitted within each larger clear bag, additional bags need a pre-paid user pay tag
• Also collects blue box and green recycling box (Paper Box)
