Description
Description (Service) | Service club that supports local, national, and international organizations through local fundraising. The club financially supports the Seaforth food bank, student awards, the Seaforth Hospital Foundation, diabetes Camp Discovery, Vision and Hearing Screening in Kindergarten, CNIB Lake Joseph Centre, Camp Dorset for Dialysis Patients, Lions Effective Speaking programs for youth, Lions International Youth Exchange, Lions Quest Education Programs, Lions Homes for Hearing Impaired, the Alzheimer Society, Books for Baby Bundles, and others. The club also operates the Seaforth Lions Park and Pool, organizes the annual Santa Claus Parade and an annual Trout Derby in May for children 14 and under. Club members also assist individuals in crisis situations, e.g. shopping for those who cannot leave their home due to medical situations. |
