Description (Service) | Emergency program that can assist families and individuals living with low incomes in Huron County to reduce child poverty, promote attachment to the work force and prevent homelessness. Assistance may include but not be limited to: Emergency heat, water, sewage, rental arrears, dental, transportation, childcare, housing. Eyeglasses, layettes and baby supplies, limited assistance with cost of prosthetic Items, other health care items. Limited financial assistance may be available in other exceptional circumstances. |

Eligibility | Low income individuals and families resident of Huron County |
Application | May qualify if income meets financial criteria and facing an unexpected or sudden change in financial situation. Pathways works in collaboration with other agencies to help cover outstanding costs. Call to be connected to a Pathways Coordinator who will assess situation and needs before offering the appropriate supports. Be prepared to disclose sources of income. Ontario Works clients must contact their case manager for assistance through Pathways. |
