Description (Service) | Provides public health services that promote health and prevent disease for area residents. Staff support and encourage people to make healthy choices and work with the community to ensure that public health standards are being met. Specialties include:
Healthy Babies, Healthy Children Program for children from birth to 6 years provides information about pregnancy, breastfeeding, healthy eating, baby care, the growing child. Offers parents a phone call right after discharge from the hospital. Public health nurse is available to provide child health and parenting information, support and referral to community services |
