Pharmacies That Offer COVID-19 Testing

Description

Some pharmacy locations (listed on the website) will be offering free testing by appointment to individuals with no symptoms of COVID-19 and eligible for testing as part of a targeted testing initiative directed by the Ministry of Health or the Ministry of Long-Term Care.

As of November 18, 2021, select pharmacies will be available for COVID-19 testing for symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals. (see website for locations). In-store testing will be available at these sites by appointment. Take-home self collection kits may be available for pick up and drop off without an appointment (call or visit their website to confirm kits are in stock).

Shoppers Drug Mart is offering a Rapid Antigen Screening for COVID-19 for asymptomatic individuals not eligible for the free testing at a cost of $40. This screening is available at select locations. The results can be ready in 15-20 minutes. This test is NOT used to diagnose COVID-19 and a preliminary positive result will require a follow-up COVID-19 test at one of the designated assessment centres. For more information, check the website

Individuals must follow all public health measures when going for a test, including wearing a mask, practicing physical distancing, and frequent handwashing.
